The pizza has been nearly uneditable over the years and getting worse. The pizza sauce is somewhere between plain tomato sauce and cheap spaghetti sauce now. The doughy crust has no flavor and if you were to bake the pizza to crisp the crust you nearly burn the toppings. The only redeeming part is it's inexpensive. We've decided to stop buying.
Literally the worst Papa Murphys location around. This is the only location that provides consistency in poorly executed service and food. We’ve gone to them multiple times and each time is the same…. Always says it will be ready in 30 minutes, even though it’s always like 50+. They never have the entire menu and don’t tell you that until it’s too late and good luck getting refunded, because the tiny tots that work in the joint really just don’t care about you or the food their making.. its very apparent that they are more then likely aren’t trained OR they’re very poorly managed..
Do yourself a favor and take your money to another chain pizza place in town.
I was genuinely astonished by the kindness and charisma of the worker helping me at the time, I think his name was Kayan, as it is very rare that teenagers his age are that lively and helpful, especially for a job like making pizzas all day. Hire more like him!
"For the wait staff at sit-down restaurants, the tip should be 15 percent to 20 percent of the pretax bill. Tips are not necessary at fast-food restaurants. Bankrate 12 2022."
The fact that you try to force/trick customers into tipping 15% on food that is neither delivered OR even ready to eat is obscene.
I am always happy to tip on food the moment I see it and do. But the culture around pre-tipping needs to reflect the type of service. Not just an opportunity to offset the fact you, Pappa Murphy's, are not paying your employees a fair wage and are trying to position the customer as the individual to blame.
The best way to look at this is the same way as a bartender or barista. There is nothing wrong with a dollar or two per item. Pre tax percentage-based tipping, especially of the amount you pre-select for your customers, is and should be reserved for only employees at a sit down restaurant, masseuses, hair stylists and other direct service industry employees. Where their pay is far below the minimum wage.
